This is an email we hoped we would never have to send.

In every possible way, this election represents the absolute worst-case scenario. Trump’s return guarantees dark times ahead and a longer path to the better world we have all been fighting for. It’s okay to be clear about this. It is okay to admit the pain of this defeat. We are not blind to the implications of what has happened — it’s why we worked so damn hard to prevent it.

But here we are. And the other side of despair must be this promise we now make to you: Common Dreams doesn’t give up. We don’t surrender. With you by our side and we at yours, we fight like hell. Starting right now.
