Good afternoon Friend

It’s been a little while since you heard from me - we are working hard to adapt to new ways of working and you’ll be hearing more from me in the coming weeks. First though, our sister charity Compassion in Dying needs your support.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there’s been a huge increase in demand for their services - particularly their living wills website MyDecisions.org.uk and their free information line

Compassion in Dying is here to make recording wishes simple and straightforward. They have heard from people with a wide range of wishes and concerns about coronavirus - from people who would like to receive all available treatment were they to lose capacity while in hospital, to those who wouldn’t want to be taken to hospital at all.

They have helped thousands of people to record their wishes with practical and honest support - donate today to help continue this vital work.

A donation of any size has enormous value:

£3 could pay for a Notice of Advance Decision card for someone to keep in their wallet.
£25 could pay for five Living Will packs to be sent in the post to people who need them.
£100 could pay for a specialist nurse to answer the information line for a day.
£150 could pay for a member of staff to deliver training to a care home to improve the quality of their conversations and records.

Making a living will can also help NHS doctors make decisions under enormous pressure and lessen the strain on family members as they can be sure they know what you would want.

By donating today you can ensure people have the support they need, when they need it, to record their wishes.

Help Compassion in Dying to deliver practical, honest support today and every day.

Your support really can make a difference.

P.S. Like us, Compassion in Dying wants to see a world where patients have the power to say for themselves what a good death looks like. Help us achieve this by donating today
