TAKE ACTION
Dear John,
Every year, an estimated 11 million metric tons of plastic pollution winds up in our oceans. That number is so large, I can’t even imagine how much that is. This plastic pollution is harming wildlife, wrecking ecosystems, disrupting livelihoods for coastal communities, and threatening human health.
Tell world leaders: It's time to end plastic pollution ►
Over the last two years, WWF has been advocating for a global UN treaty on plastic pollution—and now it's within reach, but it won't happen without public support.
We've set a goal to deliver 150,000 names to world leaders in later this month—will you add your name today?
The time is NOW. Every year we wait will only increase the threat posed by plastics. If we don't act, global plastic pollution is predicted to triple by 2040, with devastating consequences for our oceans.
Let's not miss this chance. Take action today and demand a solution to plastic pollution.
Sincerely,
Sara
