Very short post today.
First, for those of you who are asking why the #### you got this email, please send a simple “stop” reply so I can clean up my list.
If you have enjoyed my writing thus far, I want to assure you that I am not done. The only reason you haven’t seen a post-election piece yet is because I am already busy organizing. I learned a lot during the campaign, and I am not waiting to put it to good use.
Thank you to all who have taken the time to read my posts. I feel compelled to write with or without an audience, but it sure is nice to know my words are not simply disappearing into the ether. I value your attention and your feedback, and I promise to continue doing my very best to engage and entertain.
I have played amateur therapist over the last couple days to people dealing with anger, disappointment, dread, and bewilderment. What I haven’t seen is resignation. No one is giving up. If anything, the people who got active this cycle after years of hiding are more determined than ever. They expect cruelty, pettiness, and self-dealing, and they are ready to be a giant thorn in the side of the cruel, the petty, and the selfish.
If you are still mired in post-election emotions, that’s okay. Take care of yourself first, and then, together, we can support and defend the vulnerable and the Constitution of the United States of America.
