Dear Jack,

I am honored that the people of Georgia’s 2nd Congressional District have re-elected me to another term in the U.S. House of Representatives. It is my life’s honor and privilege to serve Middle and Southwest Georgia. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you for supporting my re-election campaign. Whether you supported my campaign with a contribution, your vote, or your time, I am so grateful for all of you who helped get us across the finish line.

Unfortunately, the presidential election has not gone our way. While I’m sure we are all feeling a range of emotions, I want to assure you that I remain committed to fighting to deliver on the most important issues in the House. I will continue standing up for our rights, our freedom, and progress for all.

For years, Donald Trump has fomented division, anger, fear, hatred, disinformation, and bigotry. With his return to the White House, we must brace ourselves for what will come. We must remember the values that we believe in and live out those values day in and day out.

Now more than ever, it’s important for us to stand together, united by our shared values and morals. The path forward will not be easy — but there’s nothing we can’t do if we do it together. I know this election cycle and these results are tense and difficult for many. I extend to you all my blessings and best wishes. Please take care of yourselves and your communities, and know that we will reclaim the soul of our nation.

Thank you for trusting me to serve you again. I look forward to serving another term in the House and the opportunity to continue fighting for my district and delivering for the people of Middle and Southwest Georgia. Now it's time to get to work.
