Certified Concrete Operator Regulation now in Effect
BC Construction Safety Alliance
As of November 1, 2024, all uncertified operators must abide by the stipulations in Part 20.26.6 of the Occupational Health & Safety Regulation, which requires that any uncertified operator in BC work under the supervision of a certified operator.
"Certified" means the operator holds a valid CCPO certification from the BCCSA's Certified Concrete Pump Operator program. Certifications are specific to pump types; a single operator may have multiple certifications. Currently, the Certified Concrete Pump Operator Program delivered by the BC Construction Safety Association (BCCSA) is the only certifying authority issuing certifications to concrete pump operators in British Columbia.
The CCPO Program adheres to Part 20 of the OHS Regulation requirements and is working toward ANAB accreditation in ISO/IEC 17024:2012. For additional information, contact us at [email protected] or their website at www.ccpo.ca.
