Friend, the election may be over, but our work to end the drug war is far from it. Will you rush a gift today to help us prepare for the fight ahead?
We know that President-elect Donald Trump will ramp up the drug war. He has been extreme on drug policy, going as far as proposing the death penalty for certain drug offenses.
Trump is expected to pull out the drug war playbook, falsely promising that punitive policies are the solution to overdose, fentanyl, and addiction. But we know punitive policies don’t work.
They make it harder to provide the stability and supports people need like economic opportunities and housing, and for people navigating addiction: access to evidence-based treatment, medications that cut overdose in half, and other overdose prevention and health services.
That’s why I’m reaching out. We know the next few years are going to be an uphill battle. Will you rush a gift today to help us take on the new obstacles and any new opportunities we face from a second Trump administration?

We already pushed back on a Trump administration once. And we’re ready to do it again. We know it’s going to be a hard fight, but we won’t let anything stop us when it comes to ending the drug war.
Don’t forget that in the 50+ years of the drug war, drugs have become stronger and more available, fentanyl emerged, and overdose deaths dramatically rose. Why then allow Trump to go back to this failed approach?
That’s why we’ll do everything we can to fight against punitive, drug war approaches and to fight for real health approaches to drugs. But we need your support! Donate now so we’re ready for what's ahead.
