Dear Friends,
We witnessed our great Democratic system at work during this election, and the people of the 28th District of Texas spoke.
I am honored to have been re-elected for another term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
I would not have won this election without the tireless support of my wife Imelda, and my daughters Christina and Catherine.
I would especially like to thank my supporters who were instrumental in this victory. From knocking on doors, phone banking, contributing, endorsements and stepping up during the most important election we’ve ever faced. So many people played a role in this victory, and I want to personally say thank you.
My family and I are especially grateful for the support of the voters. They saw through the personal attacks levied against us and I truly appreciate their steadfast support.
Finally, I would like to congratulate my opponent on a hard-fought race, and wish him the best.
Once again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you in Congress. I will continue to represent our South Texas values and make sure your voice is heard in Washington.
