Team: We’re facing another four years of Trump’s racism, cruelty, and violence toward immigrants, which means our work has never been more important.

I know you’re probably scared, angry, and feeling betrayed by your country. I am too. Trump ran on a hateful platform of mass deportations — and won. Immigrants will be the first target of the new administration. Now is the time for all of us — immigrants and women and people of color and LGBTQ+ folks and allies — to stand together and protect each other from the danger ahead.

UWDA will lead the charge in defending immigrant rights over the next four years. We’ll be fighting back against any and all anti-immigrant policies, empowering our community with know-your-rights campaigns, training allies on actions to protect immigrants, and building spaces for immigrants to come together and process.

I’m not going to lie, it’s going to be hard. We must unapologetically oppose Trump at every turn. But we’re not giving up. Home is here, and we’re here to stay.
