*Examining Changes to the Environment Through Pictures and Data*
Use this activity [ [link removed] ] to examine a series of photographs comparing famous landmarks like Niagara Falls and New York City’s Times Square over time and identify human-generated changes -- such as new roads and buildings -- in their physical environment. Then students can explore Census Bureau population and housing data to learn how population changes contribute to changes in the physical environment.
