We’re gathering signatures for a card to thank veterans for their service to our country ahead of Veterans Day on Monday. Will you sign our Veterans Day card now?

Every day, Easterseals is committed to supporting veterans like Barron and military children like his daughter, Kendal.

Barron served for 17 years in the Marine Corps, including four tours in Iraq. He first learned about Easterseals and our Little Warriors program for military children while recovering at a military hospital from a severe bombing injury he sustained during his service.

When Barron came to Easterseals for the first time, he knew it was the beginning of a new chapter for his family.

"It was the warmest child development center I had ever been to. When I walked in, I knew right then that I wanted my daughter to be here."

Later, Barron also received support from our Veteran Staffing Network to help with his transition from life in the military to civilian employment upon his official retirement. Career coaches helped Barron build his resume, prepare for interviews, and translate his military skills and experience to a lasting civilian career.

We are so proud to support veterans, like Barron, and their families in any way we can.

In addition to the Veteran Staffing Network and Little Warriors program, we provide high-quality, accessible mental health care for veterans through our Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic, which can be accessed in person or virtually from anywhere in the world.

Our adult day services provide cost-effective clinical services and engaging activities for veterans of all ages, and we partner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide transportation to these services. Our specialized programs for veterans address the specific needs of female veterans, unhoused veterans, and incarcerated veterans.

But ahead of this Veterans Day, we simply wanted to let all veterans know that we are with them and grateful for the sacrifices they have made for our country. That’s why we need your help to reach our 1,000-signature goal on our card for veterans ahead of our deadline on Veterans Day at midnight: Will you sign our card now to show your support for veterans this Veterans Day and thank them for their service?
