Here’s how the global climate movement can continue our fight for the planet over the next four years
John, I'll be honest: Trump’s return is a huge threat to our planet [1]. His campaign was funded by billionaire oil and gas tycoons [2]. They’ll now have an ally in the White House, which makes our fight harder.
Some of you may feel helpless right now. But I’m writing to let you know you’re not alone.
There are millions of us who refuse to give in to climate destruction and corporate greed. And right now, we must band together. We need to speak out and demand our leaders stand up to Trump, lead on climate and take on Big Oil. Our futures depend on it.
John, will you stand with us? Now more than ever, we need you to help fund our fight for the planet. Are you in?
Yes, I'll join with a monthly contribution: [link removed]
Trump’s victory will embolden Big Oil everywhere. He’s pledged to shred environmental regulations and expand fossil fuel production [3]. He’s even called climate change a ‘hoax’ and ‘one of the great scams of all time’ [4]. Meanwhile, ordinary people are suffering the very real effects of the climate crisis – with fatal floods, fires and droughts wreaking havoc across the globe.
I know some of you may feel disheartened. But remember, this is a dark moment on our path to a brighter future – it’s not the final moment.
All around the world, people are peacefully rising up against corporate greed and climate denial. Trump is one person, and there are millions of us demanding a fairer, more sustainable future. We cannot – and we will not – back down now.
We refuse to let Trump and his Big Oil cronies squash our movement. We refuse to give in to despair. Will you join us? Become a Greenpeace member today:

Trump’s campaign ran on lies, fearmongering and disinformation [5]. And there’s no doubt fossil fuel barons will use his win as a free pass to keep draining our planet and wrecking our futures.
So John, now is the time we must come together and show that we won’t slow down – that we’ll keep on fighting for the things we all deserve: clean air and water, our civil rights and a liveable planet.
And I’m so glad to have you on our side. Together, we resist.
