Fox News: FBI Foils New York Man's 'Evil Plan' To Wage Jihad On ISIS' Behalf In Syria: DOJ
“FBI agents stopped a New York man from boarding a flight from New York to the Middle East, where he was allegedly going to join the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) to wage jihad, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). The DOJ said in a press release that Syed Aman, a U.S. citizen and resident of Nassau County, New York, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with attempting to provide material support to ISIS. Aman was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York, as he attempted to board a flight to Doha, Qatar. The DOJ said Aman planned to leave for Syria from Qatar to join ISIS. "As alleged, Aman was steadfast in his attempts to travel to the Middle East to join ISIS and fortunately his evil plan to wage jihad was thwarted," U.S. Attorney Breon Peace said.”
Associated Press: A New Law Allows Israel To Deport The Relatives Of Attackers. Experts Expect It To Be Struck Down
“Israel’s parliament passed a law early Thursday that would allow it to deport family members of Palestinian attackers, including the country’s own citizens, to the war-ravaged Gaza Strip or other locations. The law, which was championed by members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party and his far-right allies, passed with a 61-41 vote. But legal experts said that any attempt to implement it would likely lead to it being struck down by Israeli courts. It would apply to Palestinian citizens of Israel and residents of annexed east Jerusalem who knew about their family members’ attacks beforehand or who “express support or identification with the act of terrorism. They would be deported, either to the Gaza Strip or another location, for a period of seven to 20 years.”

Reuters: Iraq Denies Talk Of Iranian Attack On Israel From Its Soil
“The Iraqi government's Council for National Security said on Wednesday that reports about Iraqi territory being used by Iran for attacks on Israel are "false pretexts" aimed at justifying aggression against it, the military said. Iraqi military spokesperson Yahya Rasool's comments came in response to an Oct. 31 Axios report citing Israeli intelligence about a potential Iranian attack from Iraqi territory.”

Associated Press: 4 Security Officers And 2 Schoolchildren Killed In Bomb And Mortar Attacks In Northwest Pakistan
“A roadside bomb exploded near a vehicle carrying security forces in restive northwestern Pakistan, killing four officers and wounding five others, officials said Thursday, and the same day two schoolchildren were killed when a mortar exploded near them elsewhere in the northwest. The roadside bombing happened Wednesday in South Waziristan district, a former stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban, local police officer Dilawar Khan said. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Pakistani Taliban, known as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, has stepped up its assaults in the region since its ally the Afghan Taliban seized power in neighboring Afghanistan in 2021.”

Associated Press: Rescuers Pull 30 Bodies From A Building In Central Lebanon Hit In An Israeli Strike
“Lebanese rescuers pulled 30 bodies out of the rubble after a late-night Israeli strike on an apartment building in the town of Barja, Lebanon’s Civil Defense service said Wednesday as the Mideast wars press on with no signs of abating. It remained unclear if there were any survivors or bodies still trapped under the debris following the Tuesday night airstrike, which came without warning. There was no statement from the Israeli military and the strike’s intended target also was unknown. Barja, a town just north of the port city of Sidon in central Lebanon, has not been regularly targeted so far in the conflict. “Something pulled me hard, and then the explosion happened,” said Moussa Zahran, who was at home with his wife and son when the building was hit.”

Associated Press: Trump Promises To Bring Lasting Peace To A Tumultuous Middle East. But Fixing It Won’t Be Easy
“Donald Trump will return to the U.S. presidency at a time of unprecedented conflict and uncertainty in the Middle East. He has vowed to fix it. But Trump’s history of strong support for Israel coupled with his insistence during the campaign that the war in Gaza should end quickly, the isolationist forces in the Republican party and his penchant for unpredictability raise a mountain of questions over how his second presidency will affect the region at this pivotal moment. Barring the achievement of elusive cease-fires before the inauguration, Trump will ascend to the highest office in the country as a brutal war in Gaza still rages and Israel presses its offensive against the Lebanese Hezbollah militant group.”
Associated Press: Middle East Latest: Large Airstrikes Hit Beirut Suburbs As Israel Expands Northern Gaza Operations
“Several large airstrikes hit Beirut’s southern suburbs early Thursday, including one on a site adjacent to Lebanon’s only international airport. The Israeli military had issued an evacuation notice for the site, saying there were Hezbollah facilities there, without giving more details. Also Thursday, the Israeli military announced it expanded its month-old ground operation in northern Gaza to include part of Beit Lahiya, a town that has been heavily bombed since the earliest days of the war, where Israel says Hamas militants have regrouped. Hezbollah leader Naim Kassem said in a speech aired Wednesday that the Lebanese militant group is open for cease-fire negotiations only once “the enemy stops its aggression.””

Barron’s: Germany's Far-right AfD Throws Out Members Arrested As Suspected Militants
“The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) said Wednesday it was throwing out three party members who were arrested on suspicion of having joined an extremist paramilitary group.
