Early on the morning of Nov. 6, the Associated Press declared Donald Trump the president-elect, and, by the afternoon, Vice President Kamala Harris conceded, drawing an end to months of campaigning.
Leading up to Nov. 5, PublicSource reporters sought out stories on the election’s potential impact on each of their respective beats. The process led to stories on K-12 education and misinformation classes, the future of transgender healthcare in the U.S. and more.
With Trump's reelection, our reporters returned to those stories’ sources, and others, for insight on the implications of Trump’s return to the White House ([link removed]) .
Also, Local Government Reporter Charlie Wolfson walks you through the gains Trump made in Pennsylvania — a state he won on his way to at least 295 electoral votes — and how Allegheny County's support for him grew very little from 2020 ([link removed]) .
Finally, if you live in Southwestern Pennsylvania, we want to hear from you. Post-election, how are you feeling about the future? Fill out our form ([link removed]) .
