Another four years of a Trump administration is both heartbreaking and devastating for communities across this nation, particularly women of color, people working to make ends meet, LGBTQ folks, immigrants, young people, and their families.
Donald Trump, JD Vance, and their zealots have said the quiet part out loud: They will enact a national abortion ban, putting our lives at risk, and continue to police our lives, bodies, and communities, all while pushing us toward a dangerous, deadly future that threatens our health, safety, economic security, and democracy.
While the election results may bring uncertainty, our resolve remains unshaken. This outcome does not change our commitment to abortion access, democracy, and equity. In the face of these election results, we must continue to sound the alarm that these restrictions are more than policy—they are barriers that remove our freedom to control our own bodies, lives, and futures. Our movement is larger than any one election, and we are here for the long haul. Please join us now.
I encourage everyone to stay engaged and know that we will continue to advocate fiercely for fair policies, organize in our communities, and shift culture toward a reality that centers our communities. We have faced challenges before, and, together, we will find ways to ensure that our voices are heard and abortion care is affordable, available, and accessible to all.
In solidarity,
Nourbese Flint
