Like you, we are processing the election results and the likely impacts on communities and issues we care deeply about.

We The Action was founded in turbulent times. Over the years, We The Action’s lawyers and nonprofit partners have come together to support communities targeted by ICE raids and police violence. We’ve resisted restrictions on reproductive rights and attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. We have kept people safe and helped them vote during a pandemic. Together with you, we’ve adapted to unprecedented times and met them with innovation, energy, and – most of all – hope.

This election season, nearly 5,000 We The Action lawyers donated $14 million in legal services to 40 organizations dedicated to making the 2024 elections safe and accessible for all voters. So this morning, we want to thank our community of lawyers – over 50,000 strong – for your tireless commitment to progress and justice.

Volunteering is a powerful way to channel fear and frustration into tangible public good. We are in close contact with hundreds of nonprofit partners that will be working to preserve our democracy, protect vulnerable communities, and defend our civil rights. They will need your help in the days ahead. In the meantime, we hope you will consider the projects ([link removed]) already open on our site.

We know that you will show up, as you have so many times before, to meet the challenges ahead. We will be with you every step of the way.
