Today, our hearts are heavy. We are devastated, disappointed, and tired—feeling the weight of heartbreak, anger, and frustration. To every mama now facing the painful task of explaining to their children why this country chose division over compassion, harm over healing—we stand with you. You deserve better. Your children deserve better.

This loss feels crushing, like a rejection of everything we’ve worked so hard to build: a vision for a country rooted in justice, compassion, and dignity.

It’s also a powerful call for us to pause, listen, and reflect. This is a time for soul-searching, for asking hard questions, and for committing to the changes that will help us connect with every mama and family who feels unseen, unheard, or unsupported.

Mamas, we are heartbroken, but far from broken.

In the midst of this grief, there are signs of progress. Vote Mama broke the supermajority in North Carolina, secured two Supreme Court seats in Michigan, and saw 7 of the 10 pro-choice ballot initiatives succeed.

Nationally, with our races called so far, we have achieved a 71% win rate. Our Michigan mamas earned a 90% win rate.

But, today, we’re pausing our celebration of down-ballot wins to hold space for this monumental loss. Tomorrow, we’ll be back—lifting up the mamas who are fighting on the front lines for all of us.
