Your $2 donation is making a big difference!

Thanks to each of you who donated $2 when making reservations this year.

Your donation has helped fund improvements and enhancements that have directly contributed to safer, more accessible and enjoyable state parks and harbors, such as bicycle loaner lights at Island Lake, a new amphitheater at Dodge #4 and a sensory walking trail at Brighton.

Explore the many other improvements funded by your generosity, [ [link removed] ] and look for this sticker that helps identify amenities funded by The $2 Difference.

"This December, we'll host several webinars on natural play space development and advancements in accessible recreation, both funded by your $2 donations. Look for registration details in an upcoming email and social media posts [ [link removed] ]."

Wear blaze orange on trails during hunting season

To reduce the risk of hunting accidents, always wear blaze orange when you’re on the trails during open hunting season occurring on public and private lands, especially during archery and firearm deer seasons.

While hunters do look out for people outdoors, they are especially aware of anyone wearing this highly visible color. Don’t forget a hunter orange bandana, leash or harness for your pet, too!

"Archery season takes place Oct. 1-Nov. 14 and Dec. 1-Jan. 1, 2025, and regular firearm deer season takes place Nov. 15-30."
