Dear John,
We share the pain and disappointment felt by PIF partners and the immigrant families they serve. It is difficult to believe – and more difficult to accept – that our country could have made this choice. Nonetheless, we continue to believe that our country can be better and that we can build a society where everyone has access to life's essentials.
We also share the resolve and draw on the strength of partners across the country. Like you, we are resolute in our fight to protect our immigrant families by providing them with tools and resources. We also know families are counting on us and we must avoid contributing to a sense of panic at this difficult time.
As detailed in our press statement [[link removed]] , PIF stands ready to defend immigrant families, and we will be here to coordinate and support our partners. We will need each and every PIF member to stand with us and take action. Together, we shall overcome. We've been through this before. And, whatever the future brings, we will be prepared.
In solidarity,
The PIF Team

Resources: Post-Election Toolkit Updates
While federal safety net and immigration policy has not changed, the election has left immigrant families – and all of us – anxious about the future. To support partners in their work to engage and inform families, we’ve updated our partner toolkit with a set of post-election resources. These include updated talking points and social media samples, packaged along with links to existing know-your-rights handouts. Toolkit resources are available to PIF member organizations. Health: HHS Affordable Care Act Enrollment Outreach Toolkit
As PIF partners know, a new Biden Administration regulation makes people with DACA eligible for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act for the first time. The policy change can cover an estimated 100,000 people who are uninsured today, if we all do a good job of spreading the word. PIF has shared media outreach and social media materials [[link removed]] in recent weeks. We were also pleased to see that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) also developed a toolkit. Click the link below for access to sample outreach materials and FAQs, including one aimed at mitigating public charge concerns.
