Friends,
Today we’re holding space for this team. This outcome is not what we wanted for our friends, family, and our pro-voter community. We know folks are working through what it means to see Donald Trump rise to power once more.
As the final vote totals continue to roll in, we need to keep this in mind: it looks like some 60 million Americans — who are registered voters — opted not to cast a ballot this year. If we are to create a pro-freedom governing majority in America, this is something we need to examine and understand. Our vote is our voice, and we need to make that clear across party lines.
It’s also critical to remember: across the country, there were big wins down the ballot, including state legislative races here in Georgia, and ballot initiative wins for reproductive freedom and other key issues. Those victories help prove what we can achieve when we organize. We went all out, knocking on doors, making phone calls, mobilizing voters, and I could not be more grateful.
The fight for voting rights in the states and at the federal level will become central to protecting our freedom as anti-voting forces are emboldened. Fair Fight and this community will have important roles to play. Our work to protect and expand the freedom to vote is more important now than ever.
Let me take one more moment to say, thank you, friends, for your incredible support of Fair Fight during this critical year. Thank you to everyone in our community for giving your time, energy, resources, and contributions.
