Friend, in the wake of Trump's re-election, we know that many of you are feeling fear and uncertainty about what’s next. Our communities have experienced relentless attacks, and this new chapter will bring another set of challenges that demand our resilience, our courage, and our strength.
At the National Immigration Law Center, we are fully prepared to do everything in our power to fight back against unjust laws and policies and in support of our democracy. We have successfully stood up to Donald Trump and his anti-immigrant agenda before, and we are ready to do so again.
I’ll explain more in just a moment, but first I urge you to donate what you can now to help bolster NILC’s resources to confront these challenges head-on. As we saw during Trump’s first term, we must be ready to swiftly and fiercely defend our communities.

On the campaign trail, Trump and his running mate took every opportunity to spread outrageous lies and scapegoat immigrants to score political points. They made alarming promises and dangerous threats, like mass deportations, family separations, and ending DACA. While we don’t yet know which of these harmful plans they will prioritize, we are ready to fight back.
That’s what we did during Trump’s first term. We stood up against his administration’s egregious policies every step of the way:
We were the first to file a lawsuit against the discriminatory Muslim and African Bans.
When Trump unlawfully terminated DACA in 2017, we fought to protect DACA recipients all the way to the Supreme Court.
We sued to stop the Public Charge wealth test, which kept millions of people from accessing nutrition, health care, and housing programs out of fear.
As we prepare for another four years under Trump, we need to be ready to defend immigrant communities from his anti-immigrant policies. Can you donate what you can today to help us get the resources we need to fight back?

The truth is that immigrants are essential members of communities across the country who move the nation forward. Our communities are resilient and our commitment to immigrant justice remains unshaken.
We are in this fight together, and rest assured — NILC will be tireless in our efforts to stand up for immigrants no matter the obstacles we face.
Pa’lante,
Kica Matos
