I wanted to reach out personally to express my deep appreciation for your unwavering support throughout this campaign. Together, we’ve built a powerful movement rooted in a shared vision for Denver – a city where safety, fairness, and justice are guiding lights that we work to make real every day.
As we prepare to roll up our sleeves and get to work, I am reminded of all the many ways you have helped. From the early days of this journey just over a year ago to this moment, you’ve shared your stories, your concerns, and your hopes for our city. I am honored to carry these forward as Denver’s next District Attorney. With your help, we have built a strong foundation to create change together. We can overcome the challenges we face with commitment, energy, and innovation – and yes, with joy. And if there’s any city in America up to doing that, it’s Denver, Colorado.
Throughout my career, I’ve dedicated myself to tackling tough issues to protect our community – and to work with the community to find innovative solutions to prevent crime from happening in the first place. I’ve worked to honor, protect, and support crime victims, advocated for smarter policing that protects our communities, and pushed for swift, fair consequences for violent crimes. Now, as we step into this new chapter, I’m committed to ensuring Denver remains a vibrant, welcoming, and safe city for all.
Our journey doesn’t end here; it’s only just beginning. Working together, we will take on the challenges ahead with resolve and resilience, always striving to make a meaningful difference. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. famously reminded us, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” Thank you for being a vital part of that arc – for each other, for Denver, and for a brighter future.
