Most of our state legislative and school board races are too close to call, but we hope to have news on that front soon. However, there is STILL a way you can effect change on these races and other races in Arizona — “ballot curing.”
Ballot curing is helping to ensure likely pro-public education voters’ votes count. If their signature on the ballot envelope could not be verified by the County Recorder, then their vote will be rejected unless we can give them directions to “cure” their ballot. We have until Sunday at 7pm to complete this process (it used to be 5 business days, but the legislature reduced that to 5 calendar days). There are currently at least 15,000 outstanding votes that need to be cured in Arizona! In 2022, ballot curing was directly responsible for Attorney General Mayes’ victory, which she won by only 280 votes (out of millions).
