Hello John,
I am deeply grateful to everyone who joined me in the effort to elect Democrats across the ballot. And while the Presidential race didn’t go the way we wanted, our fight wasn’t wasted.
We led with a positive vision for our state and we have the wins to show for it here in North Carolina.
We broke the state House Republican supermajority, which will help leverage good bills and help stop bad ones.
We defeated their dangerous gubernatorial nominee, Mark Robinson, and elected Josh Stein as our next governor.
Democrats held the Attorney General’s office, electing Jeff Jackson while rejecting Dan Bishop’s extremism.
Mo Green, our nominee for Superintendent of Public Instruction, defeated his opponent — a QAnon conspiracy theorist who attended the insurrection on January 6th.
We flipped the Lieutenant Governorship by electing Rachel Hunt and ensured Elaine Marshall will continue to lead as our Secretary of State.
We reelected Congressman Don Davis in a swing Congressional seat helping to push the U.S. House toward a potential Democratic majority.
This was a team effort, and we couldn’t have done it without supporters like you.
There will be long days ahead of us, but we will never stop fighting for our country, our democracy, and our freedoms.
Governor Roy Cooper
