John,

Even though last night’s results did not go how we wanted, I want to thank you so much for your support.

I’m proud to have represented so many patriots in Virginia. We’ve been to every corner of our commonwealth, and so many of you saw hope and believed in me. 

We had no support from the political establishment. The only support I got was from 120,000 different donations that averaged about $25, and we were able to raise just about ten and a half million dollars. 

I want to thank my wife April, my children, and my family, who have been incredibly supportive on this journey. 

And finally, I want to thank all the supporters who believed in us. We took this race down to an extremely slim margin, and that is because of people like you. 

Even though this race is over, I’ll be proud to serve my Commonwealth and country in any capacity they need me. 

I’m so incredibly grateful for this team, and I’m honored to have been on this journey.
