John, thank you. In 2018, I ran for Congress for the first time and made a promise that I would leave no one behind. And today, I reflect with pride and gratitude that I can continue to work toward that promise in a fourth term in Congress.
Thank you, John. I am honored to accept the responsibility of representing you for another term in Congress. I am grateful for the trust that so many of you have put in me, and I am eager to continue serving as your representative in Washington.
This is not about me. It is about YOU. It is about our volunteers and supporters who mobilized voters across the district amid a tumultuous presidential campaign and always kept the faith. It is about everyone who believed in my positive message and cast a vote to make their voice heard. Because of YOU, I remain optimistic about the future ahead.
Together, we will work to codify the right to choose for every woman nationwide, protect hard-earned benefits and affordable health care, protect our planet, protect our democracy, protect our children, protect our basic rights to safety and security, and continue our quest to form a more perfect union.
I am so excited to be heading back to Congress for another term to work on these issues and more.
We have so much more work to do!
Ever grateful,
— Jahana
