Email from Rep. Mann Message from Rep. Tracey Mann. Having Trouble Viewing? Click Here. Fellow Kansan, Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter! We are blessed to live in a country with a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Nearly 249 years after it was born, America’s experiment of a representative democracy still shines bright. This week, I am spending time with Kansans in Ford, Seward, Wallace, and Sherman counties. Follow me on social media to see more of my work across the Big First this week! I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America – I serve to fight and work to make it stronger. That's what I am doing while believing our brightest days are yet to come. Yours in service, Click below to follow me on social media. Mann.House.Gov Demanding Accountability from the Biden-Harris Administration In May 2023, the Supreme Court delivered a massive victory to Kansas landowners, farmers, and developers with the Sackett decision, which limited the jurisdiction of the EPA and the Army Corps under the Clean Water Act. The Biden-Harris Administration has refused to abide with the ruling and provide a clear definition of "waters of the United States" (WOTUS). I joined my Republican House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee colleagues to demand that the Biden-Harris Administration adhere to the Supreme Court's decision and respect the rights of property owners. I will not sit by idly while the Administration slow-walks implementing Sackett and attempts to hold on to this broad federal overreach. Read my letter to EPA In the Office Honoring Kansas Ag Heroes Each month, I highlight the life and work of Kansas ag heroes – those who have dedicated themselves to make our state the pilot light of America. This month's ag heroes are Laura and Ryan Haffner. For many Kansas families, harvest is a time of year when extended families return to the family farm to help reap the year’s hard work. Ryan and Laura Haffner are one of the thousands of Kansas families that participate in this tradition. However, their harvest time is unique. For more than a decade, the Haffners have packed up their entire family and crew and traveled from Texas to the U.S.-Canadian border to run their custom harvest business. Learn more about the Haffners in this month's Ag Hero. Click here to read this month's Ag Hero Mann in the News Rep.
