The day after election day is always exhausting. After months of hard work and one really long and emotional day we are all ready to collapse. That’s why STV has always had mandatory post-election vacations. But we always come back. And when we do, we’re ready to do the work.
I love this country more than anything. I wouldn’t have done this job for so many years if I didn’t. And that means I love it on good and bad days. Maybe the best lesson sports has ever given us is that you have to love your team when they lose every game as much as when they win the championship. I will never give up, and I will never stop fighting. And I hope you don’t either.
So, take a day. Sleep late, eat comfort foods, binge your favorite non political TV show. Rest, recover, and recharge. And then get back to work.
Tomorrow we will make some big announcements and present you with our 2025 plan. I can’t wait. I am so excited about the work we have ahead of us, and so in awe of every one of you who has been with us for eight days or eight years. I am filled with gratitude, hope, and joy this morning, and I hope you are too. And if you’re not, that’s ok. Take a day. There’s always tomorrow.
