Dear John,
After months, even years, our work has paid off. By God’s grace, the progressive trifecta in the Minnesota House looks likely to end, and we may see a pro-life majority, although pending two recounts the result may be a 67-67 tie.
Please pray for the crucial recounts in St. Cloud and Shakopee that will determine whether we can build a pro-life majority. Whether we have a tie or an outright majority, we will have broken the machine that has pushed so much anti-life and anti-family legislation that we’ve seen over the last two years of one-party control. We’d like to extend our congratulations to the incredible candidates we supported who overcame huge spending by their opponents and national progressive groups to eke out a win that will benefit Minnesotans. Every incumbent legislator we supported won reelection, some against huge odds. Minnesotans have spoken!
This year, we distributed more voter guides, put up more ads and billboards, made more phone calls, and knocked on more doors than we ever have before. We rejoice to see God prospering these efforts. Thank you for your continued support, and please pray for our continued wisdom and influence, as we seek to influence legislators for life, family, and freedom.
We are also rejoicing that voters recognized the clear distinction between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on key issues: life, gender, immigration, and family prosperity. Let us all pray for President-Elect Trump as he prepares for an unprecedented return to office. Let us pray that he would uphold our nation’s laws faithfully and advocate for life, family, and freedom even more vigorously than he did in his first term!
We are also rejoicing to see a new pro-life majority in the U.S. Senate, the strong possibility of a pro-life majority in the U.S. House, and the strong possibility that for the first time since 2004, a majority of Americans will have voted for the pro-life candidate in the popular vote.
We are also thrilled to see three huge pro-life wins for constitutional amendments in Florida, South Dakota, and Nebraska. These represent the first statewide pro-life victories since the Dobbs decision in 2022 - the first of many! We will continue our work to make abortion illegal and unthinkable!
An election win is not ultimate victory for Christians - we serve a king who has designs and plans that encompass the whole world and all of history, not just this country right now. And yet we know that all this is His gift, and we are grateful.
Let’s remember and celebrate what really matters to us as Christians and as Americans: our salvation in Jesus Christ, through faith and grace alone, our citizenship in God’s coming kingdom, and also the freedom and opportunity we have in this, the most beautiful state in the greatest nation on Earth.
