2024 Election: GOP Takes Senate Control
by Joshua Arnold
Republicans regained control of the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, flipping seats controlled by a Democrat-turned-Independent in West Virginia and Democrats in Ohio and Montana. "The balance of power in the Senate means a great deal. A lot of people say that's the safety net for our nation," said Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) on Family Research Council Action's special Pray Vote Stand Decision Night broadcast. "It's what our forefathers did to make sure that the Senate was not a supercharged House. ... It's kind of the steadying of the ship, so to speak."

by Dan Hart
In the ongoing aftermath of the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, the 2024 election saw an unprecedented 11 ballot initiatives in 10 states that mostly attempted to codify a "right" to obtain an abortion into state constitutions. Education Choice: The GOP's Swelling Chorus
by Chuck Donovan
In previous reports, we looked at the content of the most current state of GOP platforms on the key social issues of life and marriage. In the former case, we found a strong consensus in favor of protections for the unborn. With respect to marriage, some vagueness in the national platform and messaging suggests that grassroots Republicans are pro-natural marriage but that the future of this stance is open for debate. The Israeli Knesset passed legislation prohibiting UNRWA from operating in Israeli territory last Monday. "UNRWA - the organization whose employees participated in the October 7th massacre and many of whose employees are Hamas operatives - is part of the problem in the Gaza Strip and not part of the solution," complained Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz.

by Sarah Holliday
It all started when two female law students at George Mason University spoke out against putting tampons in the men's bathroom in a private chat. Now, they're being punished for it, and the case Cerankosky v. Washington has emerged and made its way to court. Selene Cerankosky and Maria Arcara, who are both third-year law students, shared their concerns in a private law student group chat over a fellow student's proposal to put feminine hygiene products in male restrooms. Two weeks later, without any warning, the school "issued no-contact orders."

Harris Won't Say If She'll Partner with Far-Left SPLC
by Tyler O'Neil
Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, did not respond to a request for comment about whether she would work with the Southern Poverty Law Center, a far-left group that puts organizations on a "hate map" with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan if they oppose experimental transgender medical interventions for minors. The Biden-Harris administration has worked with the SPLC, so it seems likely a Harris administration might do so too.
