SIGN THIS PETITION TO SUPPORT PEACE EFFORTS IN SUDAN

Sudan, the third-largest country in Africa, is experiencing the horrors of war for more than a year, in a conflict involving a constellation of international players. A lot of people have found themselves trapped in the civil war, with no other choice than to take their own lives. The rape of women, long used as a weapon in the war, is now leading to a wave of suicides. This war must end. Now that we are imagining Africa beyond war, Sudan must be able to rebuild itself and regain peace and stability. We're delivering the petition soon to the governments of the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Russia and Ukraine. Please sign it right away.

Like Sudan, other parts of Africa are affected by war. We will be discussing this topic at our forthcoming African peace conference. It is a free annual event happening on Zoom, on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 4 to 6 PM (GMT+1). The World BEYOND War Africa Regional Peace Conference will expose wars and war-driven factors that prevent the African continent from envisioning sustainable peace. Additionally, it will explore opportunities to picture what Africa beyond war is really like, by showcasing the perspectives of activists in the continent who are challenging the structural causes of wars. This virtual conference on November 15-16 is an opportunity for experience sharing, learning, and inspiration, with the aim of fostering solidarity among peace practitioners around the world who share our vision for a just and peaceful world.

A l'heure o? nous imaginons une Afrique au-del? de la guerre, le Soudan doit pouvoir se reconstruire et retrouver la paix et la stabilit?. Comme le Soudan, d'autres r?gions d'Afrique sont touch?es par la guerre. Nous discuterons de ce sujet lors de notre prochaine conf?rence sur la paix en Afrique. La Conf?rence r?gionale africaine de World BEYOND War pour la paix exposera les guerres et les facteurs li?s ? la guerre qui emp?chent le continent africain d'envisager une paix durable. En outre, elle explorera les possibilit?s d'imaginer ce qu'est r?ellement l'Afrique au-del? de la guerre, en pr?sentant les perspectives des activistes du continent qui remettent en question les causes structurelles des guerres. Cette conf?rence virtuelle des 15 et 16 novembre est l'occasion de partager des exp?riences, d'apprendre et de s'inspirer, dans le but de favoriser la solidarit? entre les praticiens de la paix du monde entier qui partagent notre vision d'un monde juste et pacifique.
