Hi John,
No matter who is in the White House on January 21, 2025, this is a love letter to the organizers. To every individual who has fought, rallied, and persisted for a future free from the oppressive systems of white supremacy and patriarchy—a democracy that reflects our diverse, multiracial society: THANK YOU.
Imagine a nation where community, abundance, and collective action replace individualism, competition, and scarcity. A place where leaders don’t just represent their communities but actively co-govern with them. This is not just a dream; it’s within reach. Getting there means embracing liberatory organizing that builds the power of Black, Indigenous, and people of color—especially women of color and trans and gender-expansive changemakers who deserve every tool, every bit of knowledge, and all the support it takes to drive real transformation. These leaders deserve the tools, knowledge, and support to make transformational change—and at re:power, we’re building the infrastructure to make this possible.
Organizers know this vision is crucial because the boom-and-bust cycle of election funding weakens grassroots groups, especially those led by Black, Indigenous, and communities of color. re:power breaks that cycle by providing year-round training and support for local organizers who understand that true progress requires consistent civic engagement and action at every level.
Organizers deserve sustainable, long-term investments to build robust programs and a lasting infrastructure that sustains civic engagement far beyond election day.
Burnout is one of our biggest threats. We’re losing people faster than we can activate them. That’s why we’re fostering resilience through our alumni community—over 7,000 strong. Through gatherings, community conversations, and ongoing support, we’re creating spaces where organizers find resources and the solidarity to keep going.
To all the organizers making this movement possible—this is for you. You drive us forward every day, and together, we’re building a Liberatory Organizing Universe where lasting change is inevitable. Thank you for the work you do, every single day.
In solidarity,
Team re:power
