Fox News: Trump Wins

Fox News: The Fox News Decision Desk projects former President Trump has defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in a stunning victory, delivering him a second term in the White House after a historic election cycle filled with unprecedented twists and turns and two attempts on his life. Trump defeated Vice President Harris, who entered this race just over 100 days ago. Trump will be the first president to serve two nonconsecutive terms since Grover Cleveland in 1892 — and only the second in history (Fox News). Townhall: Donald Trump on JD Vance: He’s a feisty guy! I told him to go into enemy media territory and he just obliterates them (X). John Podhoretz: This is the most staggering political comeback in American history. Period. Nixon held the comeback trophy for nearly 60 years. No longer (X). Chris Stigall: Mark Thiessen: “if this holds, it will be the greatest political comeback since Grover Cleveland of 1892. Trump is a once in a century political figure” (X). Katie Pavlich: President Donald Trump has officially won the popular vote and the Electoral College (X). Libs of TikTok: “Holy smokes! Literally nothing? Literally not one county?” Jake Tapper is absolutely SHOCKED by the map showing that Kamala didn’t outperform Biden in a single county (X). Check out the full breakdown here (Fox News).

Republicans Gain Control of the Senate
Chuck Schumer is fired! Courthouse News: After three years of a Democratic majority in the Senate, the Republican Party regained control hours into Election Night. Flipping two seats from the Democrats, the Senate majority now tips in favor of Republicans, who hold at least 51 seats. Democrats had hoped to defend those seats, but Republicans went on the offense and secured enough seats to swing the chamber in their favor (Courthouse News). Check out the full results here (New York Times). Peter Robinson: The great John O’Sullivan with the most profound insight of the night: “The significance of this election is that the real America of history is pulling together to defeat the false America of theory” (X).

California Voters Overwhelmingly Pass Prop. 36—Trying to Make Crime Illegal Again
Passing with over 70 percent of the vote. Los Angeles Times: Proposition 36 will make it a felony for someone to steal merchandise of any value after two previous offenses and can lead to longer jail or prison sentences. The ballot measure also allows judges to sentence convicted drug dealers who traffic in large quantities of hard drugs, including fentanyl, or who are armed with a gun while trafficking the drugs to state prison instead of county jails. It will also create a “treatment-mandated felony” as a new category of crime, by giving some eligible drug offenders an option for treatment instead of jail time (Los Angeles Times). Cal Matters: Prop. 36 reverses some of the changes California voters made to the criminal justice system a decade ago with Proposition 47, which lowered the penalties for some crimes while seeking to reduce the state’s then-swollen prison population. Polls leading up the election consistently showed a large majority of likely voters supported Prop. 36. Several Democratic big city mayors and district attorneys threw their support behind it, too, despite Newsom’s opposition. “Tonight, California voters have spoken with a clear voice on the triple epidemics of retail theft, homelessness and fatal drug overdoses plaguing our state,” San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan said in a written statement. “In supporting Proposition 36, they said yes to treatment.  They said yes to accountability.  And they said yes to putting common sense before partisanship, so we can stop the suffering in our communities (CalMatters).

In a Repudiation of Soros-Funded District Attorneys, Los Angeles Rejects DA Gascon
Daily Mail: Nathan Hochman has declared himself the winner of the Los Angeles County district attorney election after taking a big lead. The former US assistant attorney general is ahead of incumbent George Gascon by more than 20 percent and looks certain to win. Hochman addressed his supporters in Beverley Hills about 9.30 on election night, using part of his speech to tell police they would no longer have their ‘hands tied.’ Gascon was elected in 2020 on a platform of reform and restorative justice, which conservative opponents blamed for increased crime and homelessness in LA (Daily Mail). Todd Starnes: George Gascon, the George Soros DA in Los Angeles down 22 points – facing landslide loss. California voters also overwhelmingly reverse soft-on-crime Prop 47. Law and Order is coming back to the Golden State (X)! Full results can be found here (New York Times).

Governor DeSantis’ Leadership is Changing the DNA of Florida
Hill: Florida’s abortion-rights ballot initiative fell short of passing on Tuesday, leaving in place a six-week abortion ban that has helped restrict access across almost all of the Southern U.S. The measure’s defeat is a significant victory for Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who engaged multiple levers of state-sponsored power to oppose it. The measure needed a 60 percent supermajority to pass, the highest threshold in the country. Florida was one of 10 states voting on abortion-related ballot measures Tuesday (Hill). Kristan Hawkins: Tens of thousands of babies will now be saved because Florida’s Amendment 4 failed. Abortion remains illegal after a heartbeat can be heard around 6 weeks. PRAISE GOD (X)! Governor Ron DeSantis: With polls now closed in Florida. Amendment 3 has failed. Amendment 4 has failed (X). Kayleigh McEnany: Florida just became the first state in the nation to defeat an abortion initiative (Amendment 4) that would have led to taxpayer-funded abortion, abortion until birth, and beyond! This is a HUGE victory for the pro-life movement and a true testament to what happens when a leader leans into explaining the issue. Governor Ron DeSantis deserves a ton of credit for reversing the post-Dobbs losses (X)! Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera: Miami-Dade has turned RED for the first time in over 30 years (X). End Wokeness: Hillary won Miami by 30% in 2016.

Legacy Media’s Coverage of the Candidates Was the Most Lopsided in History
News Busters: It’s finally over, and the 2024 presidential campaign made history in at least one ignominious respect: Broadcast evening news coverage of the candidates was the most wildly imbalanced in history, favoring Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris over former Republican President Donald Trump by the greatest margin ever recorded. The final Media Research Center (MRC) study released last week showed evaluative coverage of Harris — excluding “horse race” assessments — on ABC, CBS and NBC was 78% positive vs. 22% negative. For Trump, those numbers were flipped: just 15% positive press, vs. 85% negative coverage. Subtracting Trump’s positive press from Harris’s, the advantage to the Democratic nominee was 63 points, the greatest in the modern media age. The previous worst display of imbalanced campaign coverage came just four years ago. In 2020, the MRC found former Vice President Joe Biden basked in 66% positive network coverage, vs. just 8% positive coverage for then-President Trump, a 58-point imbalance in favor of the Democrats (News Busters).

Pro-Hamas Protesters Wave Terrorist Flags Outside News Corp. Building in NYC
New York Post: Violent protesters — including some waving a terrorist Hezbollah flag — burned an Israeli flag and brawled in the street during a massive demonstration outside the News Corp. building in Midtown on Tuesday. Two of the anti-Israel demonstrators, one of whom was wearing a keffiyeh, eagerly used a lighter to torch the Jewish state’s flag as the crowd of 250 protesters cheered them on (New York Post). Persian Jewess: Pro-Hamas domestic terrorists flood Times Square with Hamas headbands and flags to protest the Presidential Election. They never cared about Palestine. They only want to destroy Democracy (X). Aviva Klompas: I don’t know if I can be more clear: screaming at Jews outside their house of worship is not political protest, it’s harassment. Every decent person should be denouncing these thugs (X). Reporter Oliya Scootercaster: Massive NYPD presence in Times Square, NYC, as Pro Palestine protesters march during their “Flood Election Day for Palestine” rally (X).

Catherine Herridge Reveals CBS Silenced Her Reporting of the Hunter Biden Laptop Story
National Review: Veteran investigative journalist Catherine Herridge is accusing CBS of doing everything it could to prevent her from reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop story leading up to the 2020 election. Herridge explained how days after the Hunter Biden laptop story came to light, she was given the task of vetting the contents of the laptop and confirming that it belonged to Hunter Biden. She informed CBS news executive Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews of what she found after Ciprian-Matthews requested “confirmed reporting” on the laptop… CBS fired Herridge earlier this year and seized her reporting files on her way out the door. The network returned her files a few days later following union pressure and intense criticism (CBS). Catherine Herridge: I told Ciprian-Matthews the vetted materials included a million dollar retainer from a Chinese energy firm, emails with Hunter Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski as well as Hunter Biden text messages. Asked by Ciprian-Matthews if there was a “Hunter connection,”  I responded, “Yes, all of them.” Based on my reporting, and as the network’s senior investigative correspondent,  the CBS News investigative unit was not tasked in October 2020 to develop more reporting on the laptop.  That would have been standard practice. In the 60 Minutes interview with then President Trump, correspondent Lesley Stahl said of the Hunter Biden laptop, “It can’t be verified.” As I watched the broadcast, I felt sick. I knew the laptop records could be vetted and confirmed. I was confused by what seemed a disconnect between the CBS News division and 60 Minutes (Catherine Herridge Reports).

Netanyahu Fires Defense Minister Yoav Gallant Over Deteriorated Trust
Israel Hayom: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, marking a major shift in Israel’s wartime leadership. “During wartime, the trust between a prime minister and a defense minister must be absolute. While we had that trust and worked productively together in the early months of this campaign, that relationship has deteriorated significantly in recent months,” he explained. Netanyahu revealed that he and Gallant developed serious differences over the management of the war effort, with Gallant taking positions that contradicted both government and cabinet decisions… Netanyahu announced that Israel Katz will take over as defense minister, citing Katz’s experience as minister of foreign affairs, minister of finance, and his five-year tenure as minister of intelligence, as well as his long-standing membership in the Security Cabinet (Israel Hayom). Fox News: The move comes as Israel is engaged in multiple conflicts, fighting Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as exchanging long-range blows with Iran. Netanyahu warned Iran last week that Israel may target Tehran’s nuclear program if the country moves forward with another attack on Israel (Fox News).
