Friend, Wow. We did it. Polls have closed in Pennsylvania, and I’m feeling both massive relief and, honestly, anxiety.
No matter what happens, I can confidently tell you that, together, we did everything in our power to protect our one-vote majority in the State House and elect pro-environment candidates up and down the ticket.
Whether you contributed, volunteered, talked to friends, posted on social media, or voted, we gave it our all. I’m so inspired by everything you’ve given, and am extremely grateful for your support. - We invested $2.2 million, through direct contributions, staff time, and voter contact.
- We made 22 million voter contacts through in-person canvassing, personalized phone calls, digital ads, and text messages.
- We registered 14,022 new voters.
The most important thing you can do now is remind your friends and neighbors that counting every vote takes time. Most people don’t know this, but our election officials aren’t allowed to open the millions of mail-in ballots until Election Day! This quirky rule means we’re going to see shifts in which candidates are ahead as results are reported county by county in the hours and days ahead.
Unfortunately, we may see attempts by Trump and his allies to sow doubts through false claims and misinformation while results go back and forth. Do not spread these lies. It’s up to us to say over and over again that our elections are secure, they are managed by professionals, and there are multiple safeguards to protect against fraud and errors.
And there’s one other thing you can do right now – sign up to join us on Wednesday, November 13 for a post-election webinar. Our election experts will break down the results of the election, review who came out on top, and talk about what the results mean for the legislative landscape going into 2025. |
