Judge rejects RNC challenge to Georgia ballots

  • In a win for voters, a federal judge rejected the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) lawsuit today trying to block seven Democrat-leaning Georgia counties from counting absentee ballots that voters returned in person over the past few days.


  • The Trump-appointed district court judge said the Republican complaint “does not withstand even the most basic level of statutory review and reading comprehension.”

Judge rejects GOP challenge to Arizona voting machines

  • An Arizona judge rejected the Maricopa County Republican Committee’s request to prohibit the state’s most populous county from using electronic voting systems.

Candidate seeks to disenfranchise incarcerated voters in critical House election

  • Incumbent GOP House candidate Rep. Mike Lawler, facing what is expected to be a tight New York race, filed a lawsuit today to halt the counting of ballots cast by incarcerated voters in the Westchester County Jail.

DOJ able to monitor polling places in Missouri and Texas

  • A federal judge rejected an attempt from Republican officials in Missouri to prevent the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) from monitoring polling places in St. Louis today. The DOJ will ensure compliance with federal voting rights laws.


  • After Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) sued to block the DOJ from monitoring elections today, the state and the DOJ have reached an agreement. The federal monitors will remain outside of polling locations.

Virginia election officials must certify results

  • In a win for voters, a Virginia judge ruled that Waynesboro officials are required to certify the results of the 2024 election. This comes after local officials stated they would not certify unless the state allowed them to hand count ballots.
