Donald Trump has used irresponsible and inflammatory rhetoric to pressure leaders across the country to prematurely reopen our economy in the middle of a pandemic.

My Republican opponent, Jason Lewis, is proudly following the President’s marching orders. He has consistently ignored health officials’ expertise, downplayed the seriousness of the virus, spread misinformation, and endangered the lives of our health care professionals, our first responders, our seniors, and countless others.

This is a direct insult to Minnesotans risking their lives on the frontlines of this crisis and to our leaders working to flatten the curve.

We need a thoughtful plan to reopen the country so that we don’t set ourselves back again. We’re not going to get that with Jason Lewis in the Senate — or Donald Trump in the White House for that matter.

I’m determined to make sure Trump and Lewis lose in November, but we have a tough task ahead of us. Republicans will do whatever it takes to defeat me and flip Minnesota red to hold onto power in Washington, so I’m asking for your help today:
