John,
It’s Election Day, and I’m asking you to get out and vote.
With our democracy in the balance, this is the most consequential election in a generation. How Coloradans and Americans nationwide vote today will determine America’s and the world’s future for years to come.
That’s why I’m asking you to please vote to protect our freedoms, our climate future, and our democracy.
As you prepare to vote, here’s some information I hope you will find helpful:
- Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. across Colorado.
- If you’re not certain about where to vote, you can find your polling location at GoVoteColorado.gov.
- If you are in line by 7:00 p.m. you will be allowed to vote.
- To vote in person, you must provide an acceptable form of identification. These include a Colorado driver’s license, a military ID, or a current utility bill.
- If you received a mail ballot, you can still drop your completed ballot at official drop boxes until 7pm MT today. You can find your nearest drop box here.
- If you lost your mail ballot or need to register you can still vote in person before 7 pm.
- If you’re voting by mail for the first time, you may be required to include a copy of your identification.
- Colorado considers state-approved digital IDs — such as an electronic version of your driver’s license — as an acceptable form of identification. You can find a full list of acceptable IDs by here on the Secretary of State’s website.
Thank you, John, for voting today.
It’s a fundamental right and responsibility. Every vote counts and yours will make a difference.
