Friend,

For the past couple of months our communities have been devastated by
COVID-19. As we each seek to navigate what feels like a new normal, we
want you to know CLCV is still taking necessary steps to enact change and
protect our community. With your support, we have been able to push new
initiatives including: 

* Calling on Governor Newsom to recognize COVID-19’s impact on the
upcoming election, and requesting necessary protections to keep the
November election safe and secure for all.
* Working to fight legislation which would cause irreparable damage to
Joshua Tree National Park, costing tax-payers $2.5 billion.
* Pushing new bills like AB3030, which calls on legislators to commit to
protecting 30% of our planet by 2030. 
* Advocating for communities by working to elect environmental champions
that can respond correctly to crisis. ​Following the special election
in CA-25, we are geared up to continue to organize and engage to help
keep all of our congressional seats. We are not taking this November
for granted!

With just 10 years left to enact real environmental change, we are using
each day to continue finding new ways to protect our future. Though we
have made many great strides, there is still so much work to be done. This
is just the beginning.
