We’ve made a difficult decision.

Kari Lake has a cash advantage on us. She’s used that advantage to outspend us in the Tucson media market, home to Arizona’s second largest metropolitan area. It’s a must win region.

That spending and the attacks coming Ruben’s way have had a real impact. In recent Arizona polls, Kari Lake has actually taken the lead over us. Make no mistake: She could win.

At this stage in the campaign, we can’t let things like this go unanswered. We’ve got to fight back. But the truth is, the money to do it wasn’t in the budget. Adding additional spend ahead of our final monthly deadline with virtually no time to raise what we need to close a new budget gap is dangerous, too.

There’s risk either way here, but we huddled as a team... and decided to give the green light.

It was a difficult decision. We’ve missed fundraising goals lately, and we only have two days to raise this investment back. But we’re betting on you today, Beth. We’re hoping that telling you the truth will convince you to chip in and fill the gap in our budget.

There is no time to waste. Arizona is the last line of defense for our Senate Majority.
