“Your daughter is working with a member of Congress on Capitol Hill!”

Dear John,

"Congratulations! Your daughter is working with a member of Congress on Capitol Hill!” Imagine receiving that phone call and how your heart would swell with pride. Well, you can be on the receiving end of that message!

MPAC’s Congressional Leadership Development Program (CLDP) provides unique access to Congressional internships, leadership training, high-level networking, and the experience of drafting public policy. In the words of CLDP alumnus RJ Khalaf (now working in Congressman Andre Carson’s office), “You can study politics in a textbook, you can watch it on the news, but none of that will prepare you or even equate to the experience you will have while on the Hill.”

Support Muslims in Congress! ([link removed])
As we start the last 10 days of Ramadan, the blessings of your donation will exponentially increase if you make a zakat-eligible gift on Laylat ul-Qadr (the Night of Power).
Two of last year’s fellows have already joined an array of CLDP alums working in Congressional offices. Even in this pandemic, it is important that we continue to make strides for a future free from fear and bigotry in the most effective way possible - through civic engagement. Your support has enabled this program for upcoming American Muslim leaders to include a stipend that covers housing, so that CLDP is accessible to to college and graduate students from across the nation.

We are so grateful for your support of this impactful, expanding program, and look forward to calling you about a daughter, son, niece or nephew being accepted into a future CLDP cohort! Visit cldp.org to learn more.

It is only because of you that we are able to do this critical work. This Ramadan, consider making MPAC part of your annual zakat giving.

From our hearts, we wish you a blessed Ramadan, safety, health, and security, and pray that Allah bestows His blessings onto you and your families.

In peace,
