Project description: Northern States Power Company, d/b/a. Xcel Energy proposes to construct and operate an expanded ISFSI at PINGP to provide 20 additional years of spent fuel storage between 2033/2034 and 2053/2054. The expansion would use a welded canister dry fuel storage (DFS) system licensed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for both storage and transportation. The Project is proposed with the Company’s intent to seek necessary federal approvals to extend the existing operating life of the two pressurized water reactors at the plant. The Project would construct up to two pads, as needed, to store a projected 34 additional DFS systems (approximately 1,200 spent fuel assemblies) within the current fence line of the ISFSI. Project description: A 58.3-acre industrial development warehouse project is being proposed on a 63-acre parcel in the City of Big Lake, Sherburne County, Minnesota, located just west of County Road 15 and north of the Burlington Northern Railroad corridor. Project description: St. Louis County proposes to extend Progress Parkway in the City of Eveleth for a total distance of approximately 1.3 miles. The new roadway would begin approximately 0.15 miles east of the intersection of Hwy 53/Progress Parkway and extend south to Hwy 37. The project includes stormwater and drainage improvements, a paved pedestrian/bicycle trail, and a gravel off-road vehicle trail along the new roadway. A secondary access to the Rock Ridge Public Schools campus will be connected to the new roadway. Project description: Veit & Company, Inc. (Veit) proposes the construction and operation of a sand and gravel mine on a parcel located within Section 16, Township 120N, Range 23 W, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The proposed site contains sand resources which will be mined and processed for use in redi-mix concrete, asphalt pavement, and as base material for private and public construction projects in the area The mining operation would occur in seven phases over the approximately 45-acre site. Plummer Solar Environmental Assessment Availability
Notice description: The Minnesota Department of Commerce (Department) issued an environmental assessment (EA) for the project on October 28, 2024. The purpose of the EA is to provide information on the potential human and environmental impacts of the proposed project, possible mitigations for identified impacts, and evaluation of any alternatives contained in the scoping decision. Plummer Solar is proposing to construct an up to 130 MW solar energy generating system in Emardville Township in Red Lake County, Minnesota. The proposed project would be located on 855 acres, and use photovoltaic solar panels mounted on single axis tracking systems The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (Commission) will hold public hearings on the application of Enbridge Solar (Plummer), LLC (Plummer Solar) for a site permit for the up to 130 megawatt alternating current photovoltaic solar energy generating system and associated facilities in Red Lake County, Minnesota.

Fish kill reports
Minnesota Duty Officer reports pertaining to fish kills are summarized in the following table, in accordance with 103G.216, REPORTING FISH KILLS IN PUBLIC WATERS, Subd. 2 Reporting Requirement. These reports were received via the Minnesota Duty Officer prior to the submission deadline for this edition of the EQB Monitor. They represent the raw data/information provided by callers.
