I know you're getting a lot emails, texts, and calls today and while I'm sorry to add one more to the pile, I can't let today go by without reminding you how essential it is to vote today.
For every student like me who was bullied, ostracized, and had no school administration to protect and support them, I'm asking you to vote today.
The lines may be long. The ballots may be longer. Everything up for vote this year matters – including school board races.
Public schools are essential to the promise of this country. Every American deserves to learn in a space that's safe, welcoming, rooted in facts and history, and built with integrity.
If you already voted, call five friends or family members and make sure they voted, too. Let them know how much is on the line and how much it means to you personally.
It's never been more important that we elect school board members who share our values of integrity, respect, excellence, belonging, and truth. Our full list of candidates is available
here.
Our students are the best of our country's future. However you make it happen, vote today.
