Do I need an ID?

• If you’ve voted in CA before, you don’t need to show an ID!


• If you’re a first-time voter in a federal election, and you registered without providing your driver's license number, California ID number, or the last four digits of your SS #, you may be asked to provide an ID

What if I’m not registered to vote?

• Same-day voter Registration is a safety net for those who missed the deadline or have not updated their registration, and can be done at your county elections office, polling place, or vote center
