I hope this email finds you well. Iām honored to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of Animal Outlook. First, Iād like to express my deep gratitude to Cheryl Leahy for her incredible 18 years of dedication to the organization. Over the past month, Cheryl and I have worked closely together to ensure a smooth transition, and I am grateful for her leadership and all that she has done to shape Animal Outlook into the powerful force it is today.
Itās been an exciting and busy few weeks, with the launch of our latest undercover investigation into Foster Farms and the filing of a lawsuit against Harveyās Market for false advertising over its sale of foie gras. These actions remind us just how important our work is, and Iām thrilled about whatās on the horizon. Weāll soon be revisiting Live Animal Markets as part of our ongoing investigations, and weāre preparing to launch our first fully transitioned former chicken farm. The momentum is building, and we couldnāt be doing it without supporters like you.
Next year, we will celebrate our 30th anniversary, and I look forward to sharing that milestone with you as we reflect on all weāve accomplished together. According to our recent supporter survey, 45% of you identify Animal Outlook with our undercover investigations, and 31% with our legal work. We also heard that 65% of you want to see us do even more investigationsāa goal Iām eager to achieve as we work to grow the organization and deepen our impact for animals.
In the coming months, youāll be receiving more frequent updates on our life-saving work for animals. You may also notice some changes as we continue to evolve, but what will never change is our commitment to exposing the truth, inspiring change, and moving toward a more compassionate, vegan world.
