We have a critical situation with the United States Postal Service (USPS). The White House recently rejected our efforts to stabilize the post offices and keep them open, risking 600,000 Americans jobs. Trump has gone so far as to say he is willing to let the USPS go bankrupt.
There’s no mistake about it — a functioning postal service is critical to our nation.
While we continue to social distance and follow CDC guidelines during this pandemic, it is more important than ever that the postal service is running smoothly — able to deliver groceries, prescriptions, and other necessities.
The USPS is also crucial to ensuring safe voting. No one should have to choose between exercising their right to vote and keeping their family safe. Vote-by-mail is the best way to ensure that no one has to make that choice.
