The future of our democracy depends on it.
John,
We wanted to share important information on how to cast your pivotal ballot today on Election Day.
Here’s how to vote in-person, how to track the status of your mail-in ballot, or request an emergency absentee ballot:
- On Election Day -- TODAY -- polls are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. You can find your polling place via I Will Vote right now if you don’t know it already.
- Only first-time voters need to show an approved form of ID (such as a Pennsylvania driver’s license or current utility bill) to vote at the polls on Election Day.
-
If you requested an absentee ballot OR a mail-in ballot, that MUST be received by your local election official by 8:00 pm on Election Day -- again, TODAY. If you applied for a mail ballot, you can track the status of your mail ballot online. Do not delay in returning your ballot -- the safest way to ensure your ballot returns in time to be counted is to return it back ASAP.
-
The deadline to request an absentee or mail-in ballot has passed, HOWEVER: If you have an emergency -- such as an unexpected illness or disability or last-minute absence from your municipality -- you may still be able to obtain a mail ballot. The deadline to submit your emergency absentee ballot application to your county election office is 8:00 pm on Election Day. You can find information here about requesting an emergency absentee ballot.
We know Pennsylvania is one of the most critical swing states in this year’s election, and we need everyone to show up to the polls and vote. The future of our democracy depends on it!
Thanks, and happy Election Day!
💙 Team Fetterman
P.S. -- If you know anyone in Pennsylvania who is on the fence about voting, or who might want to know how to vote, forward this email to them. They’ll be happy to hear from you and feel empowered to vote, too.
