Friend,
It’s finally Election Day. It’s the culmination of months of work from voters, organizers, election protectors, and people like you. Let’s take a deep breath — we made it here, together.
An important reminder: This evening, some results will be announced quickly, but others may take days or weeks. And we do not expect to know the winner of the presidential race tonight.
That’s why we’re hosting a movement-wide call this Sunday, November 10, with our partners at Kirva. <[link removed]>
<[link removed]> <[link removed]>RSVP HERE <[link removed]>Together, we’ll process this pivotal moment and gather strength for the work ahead, with insights and guidance from community leaders, experts, and clergy.
We’ll discuss what the election results mean, share concrete steps we can take as Jews in the coming weeks and months, and encounter Jewish wisdom and practices that can help us build resilience for navigating these turbulent times.
I hope you can join us this Sunday on Zoom for What Now? Power and Resilience After the 2024 Election. <[link removed]>

PS: Here are some words about hope from the poet Aurora Levins Morales <[link removed]> —
Imagine winning. This is your sacred task.
This is your power. Imagine
every detail of winning …
When you inhale and when you exhale
breathe the possibility of another world
into the 37.2 trillion cells of your body
until it shines with hope.
Then imagine more …
Don’t waver. Don’t let despair sink its sharp teeth
Into the throat with which you sing. Escalate your dreams.
Make them burn so fiercely that you can follow them down
any dark alleyway of history and not lose your way.
Make them burn clear as a starry drinking gourd
Over the grim fog of exhaustion, and keep walking.
Hold hands. Share water. Keep imagining.
So that we, and the children of our children’s children
may live
