Jack,

It’s official: Democrat Christy Smith was defeated in the special election for California’s 25th Congressional District.

This is really, really bad news.

Not only is Christy an incredible candidate, but she was running to hold onto one of the House seats we first flipped in 2018. We took back the House that year thanks to women like Christy, who ran—and won—in red and purple districts.

As Christy’s GOP opponent Mike Garcia put it: “This is the first domino to getting the House back.” If we’re going to hold our House majority, we cannot afford to lose these seats.

My team has set up an Emergency House Fund, and we’re hoping to raise $10,000 by midnight to rush critical resources to freshman House members like Lucy McBath in Georgia, Lauren Underwood in Illinois and Abigail Spanberger in Virginia.

Will you join our fight to hold the House by rushing a donation to Off the Sidelines today?

We cannot afford to let these incredible, trailblazing women down.

Thank you,

Kirsten

P.S. Trump's allies are already fired up about this news. It means the Republican playbook is working—and that you can run and win as a member of “Team Trump.” Our candidates desperately need the resources to fight back. Will you rush your donation today?
