Today’s the day. As recent polling has suggested, this election will be incredibly close and every last vote is going to be crucial to electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. We’ve defeated Donald Trump before and with your vote and support we can do it again.
Watching the election results come back tonight will be stressful to say the least. The good news is that you don’t have to face those feelings alone. Join People For the American Way tonight and be in community with People For staff members, experts, and fellow supporters after the polls close.

We’re teaming up with our friends at Defense of Democracy to put on a livestream event that will bring together voters, political experts, and elected officials to speak directly to the results as they come in and talk about how those results shape the trajectory of our movement as the night progresses.
We will be streaming through midnight our time in Washington, D.C., but there’s a good chance we may not know who the next president will be by the time we say goodnight. That’s okay—that just means that it will take some time to make sure all votes are counted. We’ll continue to keep you updated on what the results mean in the days to come.
