A new Israeli offensive is deliberately targeting three hospitals in Northern Gaza — the Kamal Adwan, al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals — which still have not recovered from the damage done during the first attacks against them several months ago. An AP investigation has discovered that while Israel claims that the hospitals are being used by Hamas as command centers, they have offered little to no evidence proving these allegations while committing horrific crimes against humanity. Survivors and hospital administrators at al-Awda recounted at least four occasions when Israeli drones or snipers killed or badly wounded Palestinians trying to enter. Two women about to give birth were shot and bled to death in the street, staff said. Mohammed Salha, the hospital's administrator, watched gunfire kill his cousin, Souma, and her 6-year-old son as she brought the boy for treatment of wounds. In a report last month, a UN investigation commission determined that “Israel has implemented a concerted policy to destroy the healthcare system of Gaza.” It described Israeli actions at hospitals as “collective punishment against the Palestinians in Gaza.”
